One day, Jack Rivers will find peace within his soul. Until then, he'll vent his spleen as he ruddy well wants to. Target: Facebook groups...

So there I was, just flicking through photos of my ex-missus on holiday in Tener… I mean, minding my own business on Facebook. Until, however, it came up on my live feed thing that two ‘friends’ (they’re not anymore) had joined a group called Get Well Soon Aaron Ramsey! Oh dear, oh dear...

On further inspection, the group admin had posted the following message: ‘Let’s make this the biggest Get Well Soon page by inviting all your friends.’ Erm, how about let’s not.

Now, I like to think of myself as a pretty tolerant person, but it’s these kinds of shitty little groups that really grind my gears. What the hell do the douches that set up and join this group actually think they’re going to achieve?

What, is Aaron Ramsay going to make a quicker recovery because of all you bloody well-wishers? I’m no doctor, but last time I checked, you can’t cure a broken leg with sympathy messages from a social networking site.

Likewise, I can just see some 16-year-old WAG wannabe sitting in her room, thinking, ‘Maybe Aaron will actually read my wall post, click on my profile photo and well, y’know, start messaging me.’ Listen sweetheart, that's not going to happen. On second thoughts, if he's anything like John Terry or Ashley Cole, you never know.

If these morons really gave a damn, they’d bother to get in contact with someone at the Emirates and send Ramsey a card through the post. Facebook really has made this generation into a lazy bunch o… sorry, I can’t be arsed to finish that sentence.

Don’t get me wrong, I feel sorry for the lad (heaven knows us Welsh will miss him when the Euro qualifiers start), but I don’t need to join a Facebook group to say so. I’ll just tell the whole world how I feel on Twitter instead…

If, unlike Jack, you'd like to wish Aaron well through the medium of Facebook, click here. Alternatively, go to this brilliant group instead...
