His name is Leo, and he dances on shit La Liga teams...

#4 Lionel Messi
Tenerife v Barcelona
11th January 2010

If, like us, you watched the Soccer Saturday team do their best with limited resources last weekend, you were no doubt also (begrudgingly) impressed with the way Merse, Le Tiss, Charlie Nicholas and of course Sir Stelling managed to entertain us all despite having only one Premier League match to talk about. The highlight of the day, however, was Matt Le Tissier's perfect use of the word "impudent" to describe Steven Pienaar's classy and cocky finish for Everton's second goal.

Since when did Le Tiss come out with words like that? On that form Jeff will be drafting him in for Countdown's Dictionary Corner. So how would football's new wordsmith describe this effort from the wee Argie fella, a sublime goal that sealed his hat-trick and prompted Tenerife fans into applause? We reckon he'd go for "panache". Clearly Le Tiss has been reading Rostand's Cyrano. Only after he finished Jeff Stelling's Jellyman's Thrown A Wobbly of course...

Worldy: To complete a worldy is to complete something of world class. Usually referring to something of sporting importance and of great ability but can also refer to anyone who has just produced something of great skill. Eg - "I just scored a worldy of a free kick" (Urban Dictionary).
