Betfred's bizarre offer is like buying money...

As reported on bettingzone.co.uk this evening:

"Betfred are offering 1/2 that a red beach ball will be on the Anfield pitch at any point during the Liverpool v Manchester United clash in the Premier League on Sunday. Betfred spokesman Jon Wilde said: 'Football fans never miss a chance to have a pop at the opposition and Saturday's incident was manna from heaven for United supporters only six days before the visit to Anfield.

'We think it's a certainty that first thing this morning, printers in the Manchester area will have been inundated with orders for red beach balls adorned with pictures of Benitez and Reina. You can imagine them being smuggled through the turnstiles at Anfield and then blown up in the stands.'"

1/2!? Surely it's a given that smart arse United fans will be packed with them. It's not as if they're difficult to smuggle in, they're inflatable. Christ for that price we'll take one down ourselves...

Lump on!
