We thought it'd be a good idea to stick some money on France...

...Before today's play-off draw. We managed to get 20/1 for them to win the World Cup, which given that they're former Champs, thought that was too good a price, assuming they qualify for the sodding thing. And as it happens, the last draw we wanted was for them to get the Paddys, mainly because, unbeaten in this competition so far, they look pretty handy.

It's interesting that their odds haven't moved (maybe the bookies agree with us), but it'll be a good one to keep any eye on. And then laugh at us as a last minute Sean St Ledger goals bounces off his arse to end our bet before the World Cup even starts. Oh how that'll be funny eh?
