About ToePoke

That's right, all anyone needs is another ruddy football blog. Well tough, you've got one, and it's called ToePoke.net. A daily blog (when we can be arsed) that isn't afraid to give you football as it really is.

Why ToePoke? Well, all the other half decent football domain names were taken.

But also, think of the toepoke. It represents all aspects of football. Beginning with the uncultured, ugly punt of a five year old first learning to play the game, to a goal poacher's instinctive prod over the line, culminating in the pinnacle: that goal by Ronaldinho against Chelsea a few years back. The toepoke encompasses the woeful to the sublime in the game we know and sometimes love. Which pretty much sums up our website.

Football. It's fair game. And we're happy to take it head on...
