I love scotch. Scotchy, scotch, scotch. Here it goes down, down into my belly...

American geography lessons = work needed...

Check this out. At first we thought the US news network above was simply being shockingly lazy, failing to label South Africa over its rightful position at the bottom of Africa (funny that). Only, a closer look reveals that they've not even picked the correct continent, and instead gone for the one just below them. Genius.

Altogether now... "I'm Ron Burgundy?"

Hands up who fancies pointing out their basic error when they visit Wembley this weekend?

No one likes Millwall...

...According to their chant, conveniently forgetting that in this day and age, Millwall are largely an irrelevance, and the overriding feeling towards them is sheer indifference. After all, they say the opposite of love is not hate, but apathy. So well done to the dipstick Millwall supporters (or should that be supporter's?) who designed this tee, ensuring that at least guardians of the English language will once again despise the south east London club.

Maybe their intention, in true Millwall fashion, was to rankle. Or maybe they're just as thick as the proverbial swine turd. We'll let you decide.

And to think, one of these would go on to become an astute and erudite pundit. And own a tactics truck...

Cos we just can't get enough nostalgia through the medium of Panini...

Only a month ago we told you of our purchase of the World Cup 2010 Panini sticker album, and brought you an ever-so nostalgic look at a completed version of its 1990 ancestor (see it here).

Well, our sticker album might not have grown as quickly as we'd liked (it is 50p a packet you know, that's only four packets with our weekly pocket money), but we have stumbled upon another fantastic retro Panini full album scan... [More]

The stuff that's stopped us from doing any real work this week...

This week, Didier Drogba causes the modern-day PC Brigade to have a coughing fit, Dean Windass makes people smile and cry in equal measure, and adidas don't bother making any sense with their new World Cup advert... [More]

Skinhead - check, buttoned-up polo shirt - check. Unhinged - double check.

Who says Chelsea fans aren't passionate?

This guy was clearly happy with Didier Drogba's opening goal in the Liverpool v Chelsea match at the weekend. But fair play to him, despite looking like a cardboard cut out knob-end Chelsea fan, he's clearly chuffed that Steven Gerrard's dire backpass helped pretty much ensure the title for the Blues, rather than 18-time winners Man Utd...

Is this the part where we smugly suggest that this could quite easily be the Kop End?

Big Eck: dashing...

Ah, Italia 90. Pavarotti, tears and, er, Mick McCarthy...

Looking back is the way forward apparently. The Tories are returning for one. So when we saw the News of the World were giving away the brand new official Fifa World Cup 2010 Panini sticker album the other day, we're not ashamed to admit that we were prepared to forget all of our... [More]

First Stan Collymore, and now Rik Mayall takes the hump...

Celebs really are a sensitive bunch. Only a month or so after we managed to nark Stanley Victor Collymore via the medium of Twitter (that's right, Tweet rage - how avant garde), we've since heard back from another narked shalabritee...

What's been distracting us from proper work this week...

This week we've been mostly laughing at Burnley players going on the piss mid-thrashing, wetting ourselves at yet more antics from Chris Kamara, West Ham's "new sponsor", and proof that Lionel Messi really is as sweet as he looks... [More]

The best of the web. Other than this blog, obviously...

This week we've learned what an "inside-out winger" is thanks the Guardian, have witnessed Leo Messi in his undercrackers, and seen the greatest own goal Croatian football has (probably) ever seen. Oh, and the bitter Paddies reach new lows...

'If you need another bucket Mr Terry, just let us know'

Football fans asked to lend a hand in national sperm donor shortage...

In football, the term 'wanker' is thrown around with gay abandon. The players are money grabbing wankers, the managers are clueless wankers, the referee is a wanker, the fans are a bunch of wankers, the guy who sells the hamburgers is a wanker. Probably.

Anyway, it seems that this affinity for 'wankerness' has not escaped The National Gamete Donation Trust, an organisation seeking to increase the number of sperm donors in the country. [More]
